LIVE – MUSIK!

and I was lucky, completely by chance,
Just be there, thanks to the local compass!
The motto of the music-filled evening was more or less:
NIGHT of Legends – 50 years of German ROCK-MUSIC-Story!
Three of the really BIG ones here in this country of ours
The focus was primarily on the tributes… and were highlighted:
UDO LINDENBERG
HERBERT GRÖNEMEYER
Marius MÜLLER-Westernhagen
and yes, why shouldn’t you listen to/watch (good) doubles!?!
So, …. I took the opportunity and went there and didn’t regret it!
Experiencing many hours of MUSIC live is fun, even if it STANDS FOR A LONG TIME
not (anymore) like my Z and not unexhausting!!! Unfortunately!
MUSIC… that you (partly or even largely) know,
Music that you like, that you can sing/barrel along to, that you can and are allowed to move to…
MUSIC (lyrics) that move you, touch you,
Songs that remind us of something, that we associate with something,
Music that helps, heals, comforts… that fixes us, annoys us and inspires us…
MUSIC we love…or hate (!?!)…
MUSIC like LOVE, suffering, like LIFE!
MUSIC that you don’t, or never, forget! 🙂

…. a comment written by me, already on November 9th, a comment that I would like to briefly include here again …. then… you know,
how I felt that evening in the turbine hall…
So, a little description from me, the ARTIST…
But the best and most beautiful thing was that I was able to spend this evening in the very friendly company of two MIT music lovers♥! THANKS also very much for bringing it home, after all it was a little later than originally thought….
So HERE is my OPINION (to the artists):
I am a real old fan of the (real) Herbert GRÖNEMEYER
… and about his “poetry art”…
yes, I think HE can write damn good lyrics, wonderful lines of lyrics, soulful… Songs that I still enjoy listening to today, like “KOMET” ….
This cover band here… that I was able to see in Oberhausen in October… was quite good and also put on a good show… yes, and I dreamed away a bit… remembered… and felt good….with these melodies :-):-):-)
Of course I like some of Udo Lindenberg’s stuff too… it was a ‘COOL TIME’ back in the 80’s… and HE, too, belongs to German ROCK-POP music history like no other, that’s for sure!
I also have works by him on my (CD) shelf, of course… but I’m NOT a real Lindenberg FAN!
This “Panic Lindi” or something like that, well…
It was optically and noisy, a pretty good copy of his idol… but I didn’t really think it was great, but… he started the event and played some really cool songs… which brought it up a bit The further hours settled in and it was okay…
At the end came this “Mariuzz”… which took the longest playing time and put on a really GOOD show…
and yes, Marius Müller-Westernhagen MUSIC is also flying around my house and there are SOME titles that I think are good, some of them really good!
and which I can sing along (by heart, like with Grönemeyer…) and always enjoy listening to it at various (cover band) events/parties…
those too, like some Lindenberg and Grönemeyer titles
are sometimes very critical, socially and politically…
and THAT is a GOOD thing!
Unfortunately, I don’t like Marius MW. as a person, I still think he’s quite snooty/arrogant…. and very convinced of himself and “his art”…. although it’s simply “better, more genuine” (!) Musicians, thoroughbred musicians (worldwide) … and, I’ll take it from him
his “…I want to go back to the street number…”,
So his “little, normal street boy from normal circumstances” is somehow NOT completely off anymore… back in the nineties I didn’t do THAT anymore,… somehow… something didn’t fit
Armani suits on the stages back then and then these 70s and 80s music lyrics… well, whatever…
I know it could still have been soooo…but…
somehow HE cares less about me…
But that’s just an assertion on my part, just my very personal opinion, after all I don’t know these people personally!
I listen to GRÖNEMEYER privately much more often and every now and then…!
While the other two here rarely or almost never come off the record shelf!
ALL together though
it was GREAT!!!….

… and yet some TEXTS touched me very much, yes,
Immediately there were PICTURES in my head, memories…
and once, no, twice even in those 5 HOURS or so of music I was close to tears…
There are lines of text that… always hit me in the HEART♥…
and melodies make my feet stomp, move, dance along as if automatically…
MUSIC – I can’t and don’t want to do it without it!
