The Nations League match between the Netherlands and Hungary had to be stopped when a member of the Hungarian team’s coaching staff collapsed. The members of the bench jumped off to help their partner. Others tried to cover what was happening with their bodies from the television cameras.

According to the Hungarian media, the member of the staff who has collapsed is Ádám Szalai, a former Real Madrid youth player for three seasons more than 14 years ago. The former footballer is 36 years old and was international for Hungary in the 2016 and 2020 Euro Cup.

The match was stopped by referee Jesús Gil Manzano. The Hungarian players were totally shocked by what was happening on the pitch. Szalai was evacuated to a hospital and the match resumed ten minutes later.
