Cooperation between the Baden-Württemberg Badminton Association and the Waghäusel Badminton Academy
The Baden-Württemberg Badminton Association (BWBV) and the Waghäusel Badminton Academy have entered into a pioneering cooperation to establish a joint badminton squad base in the region. The aim of the new base is to better support talented young players from the region and to offer them optimal conditions for further development.
“With the new squad base, we are laying the foundation for strong promotion of badminton in the region,” emphasizes the competitive sports director of the Baden-Württemberg Badminton Association. “We are pleased to be working with the Waghäusel Badminton Academy and the existing base at BSV Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen to create an environment in North Baden that supports young talents in the long term and accompanies them on their way to the top national level.”
The Badminton Academy also sees a great opportunity in the cooperation: “This joint base is an important step towards giving badminton sport a strong future in the North Baden region and sustainably supporting young talent. Thanks to the collaboration with the BWBV, we can offer the players optimal conditions and together lay the foundation for top sporting performance.”
With the BSV Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen and the Badminton Academy Waghäusel, the BWBV now has two strong partners in the North Baden region for supporting its young athletes.
The new squad base is another important building block for the future of badminton sport in Baden-Württemberg and a further step in the expansion of the base structure in Baden-Württemberg. This means that the decentralized support of squad players in Baden-Württemberg now takes place at a total of eleven bases in four associations.

Neckar-Alb region: Metzingen, Mössingen, Reutlingen
Lake Constance/Hegau region: Altshausen, Konstanz, Stockach
Upper Rhine region: Eimeldingen, Lörrach
