Apart from a narrow first quarter (22-18), JSA Bordeaux really rolled out to win by 30 points on Saturday evening against Montaigu Vendée (89 – 59). Obviously, Matthieu Hubert’s protégés did not have to exert their talent to take the measure of a Vendée team which risks fighting again for their maintenance.

However, Montaigu had shown good resistance during the first ten minutes by equalizing twice by Julien Leclair (13-13) and Sacha Teham Teham (15-15), but it was ultimately JSA Bordeaux who won the first period 22 -18.

What followed was an unchallenged domination of the yellow and black who started the second quarter with a 7-0 and a three-point basket from Léo Billon (29-18). The JSA Bordeaux had decided to accelerate. This is how the gap swelled in favor of the locals with Paco Demazeau putting on a show with a new long-distance basket (35-22) and a dunk (46-27). Clément Desmonts offered a 27-point lead at the break (49-32).

JSA Bordeaux even took a lead of 41 points (85-44, 34’50) on a new three-point basket from Castets (85-44). The Bordelais then managed their final victory (89-59).
