Antonio Faravelli, winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria in the Oltrepò Pavese, as well as owner of Cantine Vitea, brought his innovative project “Golf and Wine 1895” to the prestigious Villa Carolina Golf Club in Piedmont, on the occasion of the Truffle Cup. During the event, the award-winning wines of Cantine Vitea were the protagonists, with numerous participants tasting and purchasing them, appreciating them as the perfect pairing with the prized truffle.
The award ceremony was crowned by a standing ovation for Faravelli, who reiterated the central objective of the project: to relaunch Made in Italy by enhancing the territory and its excellence through the combination of golf and wine. “Golf and Wine 1895” is not just a brand, but a philosophy that combines sport, tourism and food and wine to promote Italy and its uniqueness in the world.
Faravelli underlined how the project aims to encourage tourism, combining the passion for golf with one of the most famous symbols of our country: wine. Thanks to “Golf and Wine 1895”, wine tourism becomes a driving force for the entire territory, focusing on hospitality, culture and food and wine traditions, which have always been pillars of Made in Italy. “It’s time to team up – declared Faravelli – to face new challenges together and look to the future with confidence”.
The success of the initiative at the Villa Carolina Golf Club has received unanimous approval, so much so that Faravelli has already been invited to participate in the next editions of the Truffle Cup. The event once again demonstrated the potential of the combination of golf and wine as ambassadors of the Italian territory, capable of best representing its excellence on an international scale.
