SANTIAGO.- The representative team of the Santiago Moya Academy achieved a resounding 11-1 victory over the Guzmán Villalona Academy, in a match held at the Play de Matanza. The victory was secured by a combined No-hitter, thanks to an outstanding performance by the pitchers, Yorvi Fernández and Manuel Ramos.
Fernández started the game and worked 5 innings, allowing only one walk and striking out 9. The Guzmán Villalona Academy’s only run was undeserved and came after a walk to Yeison Díaz, who stole second and third base, to finally score with a hit through route 63 by Samil García. Ramos closed the game, pitching 2 innings, with two walks, one hit and two strikeouts.
For the winners, the most outstanding players were Oliver Ramos, who hit 2 doubles, a single, 2 RBIs and one run scored; Yuriel Gómez, with a double, a single, one run scored; and Jostin Frias, hit a home run, scoring 2 runs and drove in one more.
For the Guzmán Villalona Academy, the defeat was attributed to starter Carlos Robles, who pitched 1 1/2 innings, allowed 3 hits, 3 runs (one of them a home run) and struck out 3 rivals.

Catalá defeated Baseball City 11-1 in a match held at Play del Hoyo in Guayabal de Puñal. Randy Guzmán won while Albert Beato suffered the defeat. The most notable were Ricky Durán, he went 2-for-4 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs, and Luis Martínez, 2-for-3 with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs.
Pupy academy won 21-1 against Frank García academy. The winning pitcher was Clemens Durán, while Adrián Ramos lost the game. Cristian Bonifacio was the standout with 1 home run, 2 doubles, 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs.
For the defeated Jeremy Giraldo, Ofreilin Martínez and Joan Fermín each hit a single.
In the Play Berto Poland, William Valdez I defeated Eury All-Star 7-2. The winner was Luis Chávez and Luis Liriano was the loser. Among the highlights are: Cristian Reyes (double and single) and Maicol Peralta (double).
For the defeated Kelvin Rodríguez hit a triple, Alejandro Florida and Ronny Collado a double each.
