NBA: Schröder loses again with Nets

Dennis Schröder has to accept the next setback in the NBA, but Maxi Kleber has reason to be happy.

Basketball world champion Dennis Schröder suffered his next defeat with the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. In the 104:114 New York duel against the Knicks, the Nets remained winless for the third time in a row. After 14 games, the team led by national team captain Schröder, who only managed eight points, has nine defeats.

Things went better for Maximilian Kleber and the Dallas Mavericks. Without their injured top star Luka Doncic, the Mavs won 121:119 at the Oklahoma City Thunder. PJ Washington led his team to victory in Doncic’s absence with 27 points and 17 rebounds, Kleber scored two points. In the Western Conference, Dallas is in tenth place with a balanced record after 14 games.

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to have a perfect record. The Cavs won their 15th game in a row at 128:114 even without star player Donovan Mitchell, making for the second-best start to the season in history.

The Houston Rockets (1993/94) and the Washington Capitols (1948/49) also started the season with 15 wins. Only the Golden State Warriors even won their first 24 games in 2015/16.
