The company Kumiai Judo Sanremo stood out over the past weekend, obtaining notable results at the Lombardy Italy Trophyhigh level competition reserved for Under 15which took place in Roncadelle (BS).
Saturday 16 Novemberin the category Rookies A (class of 2012)the very young athletes of Kumiai Judo Sanremo have won two prestigious medals:
- Tommaso Busolin (50 kg): protagonist of an exceptional performance, he won six ippon matches, winning the gold medal and thus climbing to the top step of the podium.
- Daniele Capello (60 kg): he showed great determination, winning the bronze medal after winning the ippon final.
Thanks to these results, Kumiai Judo Sanremo was classified third in the men’s competition.
Sunday 17 Novemberit was the turn of the Rookies B (class of 2010)who once again brought the colors of the company high:
- Andrea Mastrorillo (66 kg): In his second competition in the new weight category, he earned a well-deserved bronze, winning four ippon bouts.
- Elisa Bottero (44 kg): despite an injury, he showed great determination, finishing in seventh place and gaining valuable points for the national ranking.
At the same time, on the day of Saturday 16 Novemberanother Kumiai Judo Sanremo athlete stood out across the border. Enrique Corneli (81 kg) participated in the French provincial qualifications for the Under 18winning all the matches and winning a splendid gold medal, which allows him to access the regional phase of the French championship.
