During the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul held at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, USA, which was broadcast live by Netflix on the 16th, an error occurred where the screen froze or continued to buffer.
According to the results of the actual service interruption tracking site DownDetector, there were more than 90,000 reports of problems with games broadcast live on Netflix at the time the error occurred. Additionally, more than 500,000 reports of problems with Netflix streaming were received.

Netflix did not disclose the cause of the error. A Netflix official said, “This game has set many new records for Netflix as well,” and added, “Detailed viewership information, including the number of additional viewers, will also be released soon.”
Previously, Netflix broadcasted an episode of the entertainment reality show ‘Love Experiment: Blind Love’ live in April of last year, but an error occurred that stopped the live broadcast for more than an hour, so it publicly apologized.
Recently, as sports content has emerged as a new revenue source in the domestic and overseas OTT market, Netflix has entered the live sports broadcasting market in earnest. Netflix plans to broadcast NFL (National Football League) games live on Christmas Day, December 25th. In January next year, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)’s popular program Raw is scheduled to be broadcast exclusively.
