CANCUN, Q. ROO, November 18.- The Caribbean Constanza Pardo climbed to the podium by obtaining third place this weekend in the “Rodrigo Solís” National Badminton Tournament, which was held in San Luis Potosí.
The athlete Constanza Pardo won one more medal last Sunday in Potosí lands and so far she has been on a three-month streak of achieving first places in different national tournaments.
This last time was in San Luis Potosí in the Under 15 category, winning the bronze medal and thus being among the top 3.
To reach this achievement, she had to overcome the group stage where she faced the representatives of Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí and Mexico City, where she accumulated two victories and one defeat to pass as the second best of this group.
The last duel she won was against Ana Sofía Ruiz from Tamaulipas, winning in two sets of 21-15 and 21-17. In the semifinals, the Cancun native fell to the capital’s Alondra Juárez in two consecutive sets 21-8 and 21-10.
Pardo managed to win gold in September within his category in the Independencia tournament held in Yucatán, and then win silver in the “Bádminton Cancún 2024” Tournament held at the Kuchil Baxal, in Benito Juárez, in October.
All this preparation is with a view to the CONADE 2025 Nationals since this year in the Under 13 category he did not manage to qualify, but now in his first year of under 15 he will seek to achieve this goal.
Next December, Constanza will have to face the beginning of the NC2025 process in the municipal ones of Benito Juárez, in January the state ones so that in February or March the National Qualifier reaches its main objective.
Eric de la Garza also attended the Potosí tournament, placing himself in the quarterfinals among the best eight. Pamela Calabrese and Emiliano Pardo also participated, all of these in the Under 17 category and the last two without managing to pass the group stage.
