The Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Alassio, Roberta Zucchinettitogether with the entire municipal administration, congratulates the silver medal obtained by the young athlete from Alassio Giulia Ghiglione at the U23 European Judo Championships which took place in recent days in Pila, Poland. Giulia obtained second place in the category up to 48 kg.
“After previous victories and the silver medal at the beginning of the year at the International Open Championships in Warsaw – declares the councilorRoberta Zucchinetti – with this new, extraordinary result Giulia gives Alassio and the whole of Italy a great satisfaction of international prestige. I express my warmest congratulations to you, your coaches and your club, with the hope that your example of dedication, commitment and passion can inspire many other young people to approach this sport which embodies the highest values, such as respect , discipline and determination”.
Together with Giulia Ghiglione, four other Italian athletes won at the European Judo Championships: Giuseppe De Tullio, gold in the 66 kg, Federico Ninfo, silver in the 66, Asia Avanzato, bronze in the 48 and Carlotta Avanzato, bronze in the 63.
