Beyoncé goes football. The NFL will host two Christmas games on December 25th. The US professional American football league receives musical support from the singer.

Beyoncé (43) brings Christmas cheer to the NFL! The singer announced on Instagram that she will perform at the halftime show of the football game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens on December 25th. Which songs she will perform remains a surprise. However, her post already provides a foretaste: In a video, Beyoncé poses with a football in her hand in front of a vintage car decorated with roses, while an a cappella version of her song “American Requiem” can be heard in the background.

Fans can not only experience the highlight in the stadium, but also stream it live on Netflix. It starts at 10:30 p.m. local time at NRG Stadium in Beyoncé’s hometown of Houston, Texas. The match is part of the NFL Christmas Gameday and follows the first game of the day, in which the Kansas City Chiefs face the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She knows how to perform at the halftime show

Sports and music fans are celebrating Queen B’s announced performance next month. “It’s been a long year. Thanks for the Christmas present” and “Another Super Bowl for Beyoncé? Wow, I love it,” wrote enthusiastic users in the comments. For Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, as the singer’s full name is, it is not the first time that she has caused excitement during a football game.

In 2013, Beyoncé, now 43, made her debut in the Super Bowl halftime show, the grand finale of the NFL season. She performed some of her biggest hits such as “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”, “Crazy In Love” and “Halo”. Three years later she returned to the stage to support Coldplay, the headliners at the time, with an impressive performance. Rapper Kendrick Lamar (37) has already been confirmed as the main act for the 2025 Super Bowl. According to rumors, Beyoncé could once again appear as a guest artist at this event and provide a musical highlight.
