This weekend the Closing National Judo Championship was held in Jujuy, organized by the Argentine Judo Confederation, where more than 1,300 judokas from all over the country competed in a tournament that stood out for its level and spirit of integration. Among the participants, the La Bianca Judo delegation, representing Concordia and Entre Ríos, achieved an outstanding performance, winning several medals and raising the name of their city.
The event, which took place from the 14th to the 17th of this month, was attended by the former world champion and Olympic medalist Paula Pareto, who participated in the opening of the tournament, providing a framework of prestige and motivation to the competitors.
Judo La Bianca medal table:
Gold medals: Fátima Ocampo and Roxana Vega.
Silver medals: Tomás Sanches and Milagros Fernández.
Bronze medals: Fabricio Ocampo, Roxana Vega and Tomás Sanches.
Fifth places: Florencia Pietravallo, Benjamín González and Hernán Toledo.
The contest, which included competitors from all over the country divided into eight categories, not only represented a scoring competition for the national ranking, but also promoted integration between Argentine provinces and strengthened the growth of judo. The event, organized with the support of the Government of Jujuy and the collaboration of the Jujuy Judo and Jiu Jitsu Federation, contributed to sports development, while offering a tourist and cultural attraction for the region.
The outstanding performance of Judo La Bianca reaffirms its commitment to excellence and sportsmanship, consolidating Concordia as a cradle of talents in this discipline.
