FEB UGM Wins 2nd Place in the Badminton Championship of UGM’s 75th Anniversary

Faculty of Economics (FEB) UGM secured second place in the Inter-Faculty Badminton Team Championship to celebrate UGM’s 75th Anniversary and 15th Lustrum.

The championship was held at UGM’s Lembah Sports Hall from 28 to 31 October and featured strong teams from various faculties and schools within UGM. The competition consisted of five doubles events: two men’s doubles, one veteran men’s doubles, one mixed doubles, and one women’s doubles.

FEB UGM fielded 13 players in the championship: Ahmad Kurniawan, Handayani, Jhonson Hindiarto, Dwi Kisworo, Intan Agus Purwanto, Novat Pugo Sambodo, Heru Saputro, Wagiman, Wahyu Wijayanto, Tri Anggara Ari Prasetya, Umi Rokhayati, Jihan Fadhilah and Whilda Heno Rahmawati .

FEB UGM Badminton Team Manager Slamet Mulyadi, S.Sos., also FEB UGM’s Coordinator for Administration, Finance, and General Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the team’s excellent performance, resulting in their second-place finish. With this achievement, FEB UGM maintained its ranking from the previous year.

Slamet also expressed hope for the team’s future success.
“We hope to maintain this achievement and aim for the top position in the future,” he said.

The FEB UGM team’s participation in this badminton championship reflects the faculty’s commitment to fostering a healthy and inclusive campus environment. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good health and well-being; SDG 4: Quality education; SDG 5: Gender equality; SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities; and SDG 16: Peace, justice, and strong institutions.
