Saint-Genest-sur-Roselle. Cyril Jonard meeting schoolchildren. champion. Since the start of the school year, a new NAP program (new extracurricular activities) has been established for students at the Saint-Genest-sur-Roselle school. Between September 20 and November 8, a group of 12 middle section students from the Saint-Genest school participated in 6 judo initiation sessions. These sessions were supervised by Adrien Lacombe, volunteer for the Judo Limoges alliance. During the last session, Cyril Jonard, Olympic medalist judoka, accompanied by parents and local elected officials, came to meet the children for a medal presentation around a snack.

Future groups will have the same chance: 13 children from the large section from November 15 to December 20, with medal presentation with Cyril Jonard, then 21 children for the CM1/CM2 class from March 14 to April 18, 2025 with medal presentation with Cyril Jonard.

As a reminder, NAPs are introduced by the reform of school schedules, they are organized and supported by the municipality as an extension of the school day. They aim to promote access for all children to cultural, artistic and sporting practices. They are open to all and free.
