the bar, the two brothers and the punitive expedition with machetes and blades

At the end of last September there was a real massacre with a shock bulletin: six injured, two of whom were hospitalized at the end of their lives. At the beginning the hypothesis had been that of a fight between about fifteen armed people. But the one that took place last September 30th in Bolzano along the Talvera meadows turned out to be a real punitive expedition. According to investigations by the South Tyrolean flying squad, the instigators are two Italian brothers of Iranian origins, managers and owners of a bar, around which they had gathered other people to hit their targets. The reason? An alleged blunder that the police are still trying to shed light on. For this reason, the violent group targeted a group of immigrants, attacking them with knives, bars, baseball bats and machetes.

Therefore for the investigators, it is a raid by immigrants against other immigrants, due to old grudges, organized by two brothers of Iranian origin backed by other individuals. From the testimonies it emerged, in fact, that a few days before the violent attack the wounded had been threatened by the Iranian brothers, who had announced that they would “make them pay” for a previous blunder.

In fact, they would have been the ones who started the clash by sending, during the same afternoon, explicit death threats to the telephone numbers of two of the injured and then reaching them on the Passeggiate del Talvera, around 7.45 pm, with a group of around dozens of accomplices armed to the teeth to attack them together with the support of others. In the circumstance, the older of the two 33-year-old brothers allegedly hit one victim and then a second with a machete. The two ended up in hospital in more serious conditions.

Thus, home and personal searches were carried out, which led to the finding and seizure of some blood-stained clothing and some of the weapons used in the ambush, which were also stained with blood. Thus the Prosecutor’s Office requested and obtained from the investigating judge the signature of three precautionary custody orders in prison for the two Italian-Iranian brothers (aged 33 and 24) and the 24-year-old Afghan citizen. They were therefore arrested for illegal possession of weapons and very serious voluntary personal injury, aggravated by having acted with weapons and with multiple people, in competition with each other, causing permanent damage to the victims. They are now in prison.
