The gusty winds in Texas will have caused great damage. On the night of November 18 to 19, the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Houston Texans in their home arena. But AT&T Stadium suffered from bad weather, even seeing two pieces of its roof come off. If one got stuck, the second fell on the lawn.
A first wasted in two years
A few hours before kick-off, the drama was close, especially for members of the production staff. The impressive piece of sheet metal fell close to a few people, without causing any damage with more fear than harm. The opening of the roof let the wind in, quickly removing these two pieces, which spoiled a real event at “Jerry World”, the nickname of the stadium given in reference to its owner. It had in fact been two years since the retractable roof had been opened

“Gusts of wind blew throughout the day and apparently caused a lot of damage. When we tried to open it, the winds went under the roof at that time”Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said after the game, in comments reported by CBS. There was some damage, but you should know that Dallas experienced gusty winds throughout the afternoon… We were aware of that”.
