A new edition of the toy and childcare fair organized by SLO judo took place on Sunday November 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Jean-Jaurès complex.
The event was a great success with many visitors from the morning. Sixty exhibitors responded and sold clothing and childcare items, children’s toys, board games, soft toys, miniature cars and superhero figurines. “There were a lot of people, it went well this year. It was very diverse with fewer clothes and more toys,” underlined Cyril Frêche, president of SLO judo.
Participants also played a game of revisited envelopes to collect prizes. Key rings and watches were notably up for grabs. Biscuits and shortbread were also sold by volunteers. All profits raised will help finance club projects, training courses, equipment and support young people. A refreshment bar with a food area was provided by SLO judo volunteers.
Like every year, the club once again asked exhibitors to donate unsold toys. This year, these toys are sent to the local association Le Camping-car du coeur to allow children in need to receive happiness and gifts for Christmas. The president thanked all the volunteers for organizing this toy fair and all the partners for their support.
