49ers are worried about two superstars

The San Francisco 49ers’ worry lines aren’t getting any smaller in the NFL. Now quarterback Brock Purdy, who did not survive the defeat against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11 unscathed, has also been hit.

As head coach Kyle Shanahan explained at his press conference on Monday, Purdy reported pain in his right shoulder after the last-minute defeat against the Seahawks (17:20). Although it doesn’t look like a serious injury, Shanahan said that we would see how things develop “from day to day.”

Shanahan further stated that the Niners don’t know what exactly caused the problem. There was apparently no particular scene in a game in which Purdy had four QB hits and two sacks. He also took a few hits on his five running attempts, scoring 40 yards and a touchdown.

And while Shanahan said the shoulder problems didn’t affect Purdy’s performance, he was unusually ineffective. He was 21/26 with 159 yards, one touchdown and one interception. In total, this resulted in just 277 yards of space gained, which was the weakest value since Week 6 of the preseason.

49ers are worried about Nick Bosa

According to Purdy, that was more due to the Seahawks’ strong pass defense and not his shoulder: “I think they just did a good job of taking away our deep pass opportunities. They kept everything in front of them.”

In addition to Purdy, other 49ers players did not come out of the Seahawks game unscathed. First and foremost is edge rusher Nick Bosa, who injured both his left hip and his oblique muscles. His status for Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers (Sunday, 10:25 p.m. live on RTL and in the stream on RTL+*) is therefore questionable.

Shanahan was cautious about the latter: “We’ll see how the week goes.” Ultimately, the coach put Bosa’s chances of playing at around 50:50.
