In exclusive interview with El Sol de HidalgoÁngeles Lozada pointed out that her first reaction was surprise, since she did not consider that there could be any recognition of her career during these years.
“The truth is that when I had the first call from the director of Inhide, the first reaction I had was surprise, and above all gratitude to the authorities of my state, which I represented for many years.
“I had some things planned for the end of the year; However, as soon as I found out, I was grateful for the recognition and I let (the director) know that I was going to move all my commitments to be able to be present at the award ceremony,” he said.
Meanwhile Ángeles Lozada, who also won a bronze medal at the 1999 Pan American Games, pointed out that it was not in the cards to have some kind of recognition for his career because, since his retirement, he left the world of sports and began to carry out some other professional activities.
Same situation with the case of the entity since it indicated that it was living abroad and it was only recently that it returned to Hidalgo, so it did not expect it to be taken into account.
