The crescent-star team continued their preparations for the matches they will play against Hungary on 22 and 25 November in Group B of the 2025 European Basketball Championship Qualifiers. After the training held at the Basketball Development Center, head coach Ergin Ataman made a statement to the press.
Pointing out the importance of fan support in the first match to be played with Hungary in Istanbul, the experienced head coach said, “We started our preparations as of last night. We will play two matches with Hungary, first at home and then outside, in the 2025 European Basketball Championship Qualifiers. They have experienced players. Especially Joventut Adam Hanga plays for Badalona. It’s a team with good names. That’s why we need to pay attention to the fan support in European basketball. “We need it. We definitely want to win the match in Istanbul. We are looking at the matches one by one,” he said.
Ataman concluded his words as follows;
“We have not fully examined the Hungarian team. First, we are preparing our own system. Starting this evening, we will watch the last matches played by Hungary. We will choose a system according to the capacity of the players in our squad.”
