Pedro Rocha will not be eligible to become the new President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), after the National Court has denied the Extremaduran the precautionary measures that he had requested against the disqualification imposed on him by the Sports Administrative Court ( TAD).

The resolution responds to the report submitted by the State Attorney’s Office in August and which argued that the request should not be attended to because the requirements to suspend the sanction were not met. With two main arguments: firstly, that the appearance of good law has not been demonstrated: that is, that his case has a probability of success; Secondly, irreparable damage has not been proven: when the order was issued, the elections had not yet been called.

Rocha was disqualified for a period of two years for having exceeded his duties while presiding over the managing committee, by dismissing the general secretary Andreu Camps on his own.

The man from Cáceres will not be able to appear in the imminent electoral process, since next week the RFEF Assembly will be defined for the election of the next president, set for December 16.

It will now be necessary to see if any of the presidents of the territorial federations decide to step forward to join a race in which at the moment only the businessman Juanma Morales is officially participating.

Rocha becomes the third president of the Federation to be disqualified after Ángel María Villar and Luis Rubiales.
