Raipur. The 46th All India Electric Lawn Tennis Tournament has been organized in the capital from 23 to 25 November. The Central Sports and Cultural Committee of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies is hosting it. Nine teams from power companies from different states will participate in it. Dr. Rohit Yadav, Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Power Companies, will distribute prizes to the winners in the closing ceremony.

The opening ceremony of the competition will be held on November 23 at 11.30 am at APICEM Tennis Court, Chhachanpari. The chief guest of the inauguration ceremony will be SK Katiyar, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company and Managing Directors Rajesh Kumar Shukla and Bhim Singh Kanwar will be present as special guests. The closing ceremony will be held on November 25 at 2.30 pm, in which the chief guest will be Dr. Rohit Yadav, Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Power Companies. Managing Directors Rajesh Kumar Shukla and Bhim Singh Kanwar will be present as special guests on this occasion.

Umesh Kumar Mishra, Additional General Manager (Public Relations) of Power Companies, said that the power generation, transmission and distribution companies of every state organize various sports competitions for their employees every year at the regional level, in which the players performing better are selected for the national level. It is done for the competitions held on. National level competitions are organized by All India Electrical Sports Control Board. This time the hosting of the All India Lawn Tennis Competition has been given to the Central Sports and Cultural Committee of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies.

To participate in this competition, teams of power companies from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Kolkata, Telangana including Chhattisgarh will participate.
