Basketball superstar LeBron James is turning his back on social media – at least temporarily.
“I’m leaving social media for now. Stay safe,” said LeBron on the “X” platform. He has a total of 212 million followers there and on Instagram.
And with that said I’ll holla at y’all! Getting off social media for the time being. Y’all take care ✌🏾👑

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has already withdrawn from the platforms in the past in order to concentrate on sport. But this time the reason is said to be different.
Media criticism as a reason
As part of his posting, the 39-year-old also shared a post from Rich Kleinmann, the long-time agent of NBA colleague Kevin Durant.
“With so much hate and negativity in the world today, it baffles me why some of the national sports media still think that negative views are the best way to cover sports,” said this angry about the US media, LeBron commented with “AMEN!!”.
The social media withdrawal is probably related to what he believes to be too negative reporting.
