LeBron James announced Wednesday on X that he was temporarily withdrawing (but for an indefinite period) from social networks.
The “King” is sorry about the negativity on these platforms and the pejorative angles of certain sports media.
LeBron James will stay in his bubble for a while. The American basketball superstar, who has 212 million subscribers on Instagram and X, announced on Wednesday that he was withdrawing from social networks. The Los Angeles Lakers player first reposted a post from Rich Kleiman, Kevin Durant’s longtime agent, accompanying it with a mention “Amen”. “With so much hatred and negativity in the world today, I don’t understand why many of the national sports media still think the best way to cover sports is (to do it) through negative angles.”we can read on X. “I personally find this all a waste of time”added the businessman.

The 39-year-old “King” then wrote a second message. “And with that being said, I salute you all! I’m leaving social media for the moment. Everyone take care of yourselves”he indicated. “Everyone on the internet calls me a liar all the time (…) They say I lie about everything”had, moreover, recently annoyed LeBron James, during an interview on the sidelines of the match against the Utah Jazz (124-118).
And with that said I’ll holla at y’all! Getting off social media for the time being. Y’all take care ✌🏾👑 — LeBron James (@KingJames) November 20, 2024
If he already normally stays away from the platforms to concentrate on his sport, the first man to 40,000 points in the NBA is this time taking a clear and indefinite break from them.
