Let’s go to Spaichingen,
it was said and that’s why 72 players made their way to Primstadt to fight for victory in the last E-ranking list of the year. For the first time, many starters from other districts were there – players from Rastatt, Überlingen and Friedrichshafen challenged the East-South Baden team.
Unfortunately there was no entry for the girls U11 and only one entry for the girls U19. There is definitely still room for improvement.
Fortunately, there were even more of them in other age groups; The U11 boys, for example, were nine and the U13 boys were an impressive 18. In order to enable the participants to play many games, all preliminary rounds were played in groups. Depending on the age group, we then continued in groups.

While the seeded players were in the top places in many age groups, there were one or two surprises: for example, Liam Henkel fought his way from seed 5 to second place, and things also turned around for the boys U19 Seating order. After Tijmon Schierding finished ahead of Danny Schäfer (both Spaichingen) in the previous four tournaments, Danny turned the tables this time.
In addition to the two of them, there was Matti Schwarz,
Carla Banzhaf, Linnea Sum, Linus Hügel, Alireza Hosseini, Juri Becher, Marius Weckerle and Lilian Graf were other players who finished in the top three at all five tournaments. Super!
The tournament management would like to thank all participating clubs and looks forward to meeting them again in January for the first E ranking tournament.
