The Lega group of the Staranzano City Council presents a question on Frprolonged use of the tensile structure dedicated to the Staranzano Ducks Baseball activities. Specifically, i minority councilors Fulvio Fragiacomo and Martina Pellizonintervene in light of necessary completion of the roofing of the old ice rink which could be a place where baseball and softball athletes could train during the winter season or on rainy days.
«The structure is currently unusable – Fragiacomo and Pellizzon point out – the internal systems have yet to be built. We believe it is a real shame, and currently a waste of public money, to have an indoor facility intended for sport that cannot be used.” Here is therefore the request for clarification on the completion times of the internal systems and the related costs.
«At what stage is the development of the interior project? Have the economic funds foreseen for the development of the internal project been allocated? How much are they?” the Northern League councilors ask in the question. «The problem is bureaucratic and difficult to accept even on my part – are the words of the mayor Marco Fragiacomo – but the assignment of a job for amounts exceeding 40 thousand euros requires the acquisition of documents such as pending charges and criminal records. Without these checks it is not possible to entrust the task to a company to carry out the work”.
«The competent office of the Court of Trieste has a very long time to complete the necessary procedures – specifies the mayor – our offices have requested this several times. Today I had the call back and it seems that there are prospects for next week, which means, taking into account the bureaucratic steps, that the company will be able to order the materials and then start the work in the first days of December. I realize it’s difficult to accept, but Italian bureaucracy is like that. All this is due to the fact that the amount of work to be carried out is higher than a certain threshold, which implies more complex steps to start the work.”
