The Dallas Mavericks have to make do in the NBA without their superstar Luka Doncic for the time being.
The Slovenian suffered “a sprained right wrist” in the 132:91 win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, an MRI scan revealed on Thursday. Doncic will be “reexamined in a week,” the Mavs said in a statement.
After a bumpy start to the season, the team led by German defensive specialist Maxi Kleber recently won three games in a row. The runner-up is in tenth place in the Western Conference with 8:7 victories.
