Lewis said one of the reasons he chose Colorado was because Deion Sanders said the best players would be playing and potentially give Lewis the opportunity to start as a freshman.
Colorado securing Lewis’ commitment means the Buffaloes won’t be aggressively recruiting someone through the transfer portal.
Sanders’ name has popped up in NFL head coach rumors, but Lewis’ commitment is a sign that Colorado’s coach may not be leaving for the NFL anytime soon.
Lewis is from Carrollton, Georgia and recently became an informal Georgia BulldogsBefore going to Colorado, I was interested in Indiana.

Colorado is currently 8-2. college football playoffs. If the 16th-ranked Buffaloes win against Kansas and 12th-ranked BYU lose to 21st-ranked Arizona State, the Buffaloes would take the Big 12 lead.
The Big 12 lead would put Colorado in automatic bid territory. It’s up to the committee to designate the Buffaloes a No. 4 seed, but they still need to win the Big 12 title game to secure a spot.
