Florstadt (pm). The Kung Fu Association “Dao MaHe” Florstadt recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with an acceptance day for exams for a wide variety of performance sashes. The club, whose name means “the way, Manfred Heil, Kung-Fu – winning with reason”, currently has 42 members: 14 passive and 28 active members, 22 of whom are children.
The crowd was correspondingly large on the morning of the exam, before the 20th anniversary was celebrated in the afternoon with a barbecue and a cozy get-together, which was also attended by Mayor Daniel Imbescheid.
Jona Bischoff, Ben-Luca and Lina-Sophie Fritz, Mayla Emilia and Melody Eliah Gömmer, Luisa Kling, Florian Padberg, Lennart Trutzel, Linda Herrmann and Kim-Stella Müller passed the yellow sash test before Celina Hein and Tim Schneider passed theirs Received sash in orange. One level higher, Sophia Orth won the green sash and Layla Sorger was happy about the blue sash.
Alina Zoé Dreßler’s achievements were rewarded with her first master’s degree. And with Nadine Rupp as well as Elias and Fabian Heil, three graduates were able to achieve the 2nd master degree. Kung Fu grandmaster and system founder Manfred Heil as well as the masters Elias Heil and Nadine Rupp acted as examiners.
Hesse, German and European champions
Manfred Heil came into contact with kung fu, karate and judo when he was just nine years old. At the age of eleven he finally decided to take up kung fu. He was enormously successful in his sporting career and, thanks to hard and consistent work, became Hesse champion, German champion and European champion in both combat and form running. This describes the imaginary fight against several opponents.
Heil says: “As the first and most successful master’s student, I further developed my skills as a trainer and training leader.” In 1989 he was awarded the rank of Sitaigung as Grandmaster/Dai-Sifu. Also this year, as the reigning European champion, he retired from active competitive sports and became head coach. No wonder that he continued his career as a trainer with other Hesse and German champions.
As a result of an accident, Heil suffered some physical limitations, “which gave me new perspectives on self-assertion and self-defense.” There was a change in thinking and he designed his training in such a way that it was more understandable for children, young people and adults with and without disabilities.
»Understanding and understanding the forms are the greatest asset of a martial art. We won’t prevent crimes with this, but we will teach you to have a suitable answer ready for every situation,” says Grandmaster Heil, who himself has the 8th master level.
