On Friday, August 24th, the ceremonial handover of the funding notice for the multi-generational house took place on the sports field. Jörg Vogelsänger, Minister for Rural Development, Environment and Agriculture and the state parliament member Britta Müller handed over the long-awaited document to the sports club.
The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was then carried out by the invited guests and members of Rot-Weiß.

On August 24, 2018, from 2:00 p.m., the groundbreaking ceremony for the Werneuchen multi-generation house will take place on the grounds of the Rot-Weiß Werneuchen sports club.
On this occasion, the Minister for Rural Development, Environment and Agriculture will officially hand over the funding decision. For more information see the letter below.

Since June 25, 2016, the Werneuchen sports hall (Hangar 3) has been named after Walter Krüger.
In a ceremony as part of the 10th Walter Krüger memorial tournament for young handball teams on Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 1 p.m., the sports hall in the youth, sports and leisure center Hangar 3 in “Walter-Krüger -Hall”. Walter Krüger would have been 100 years old on February 9th this year.
In order to better honor his person and his work for our city and for our club, in addition to the above-mentioned tournament and, above all, to do justice to him, the Rot-Weiß Werneuchen e. V. and the families Klaus and Ulf Krüger last year asked the mayor and the representatives of the city of Werneuchen to name the 3-field sports hall after Walter Krüger.
