Sustainable and future-proof
For the construction of the new complex, ADO Den Haag consciously chose trusted partner Biersteker, a specialist in sustainable construction from Westland. Biersteker has been committed to the club for years. The new building will be completely gas-free, equipped with solar panels, a heat pump and a gray water system that collects rainwater to flush the toilets. In addition, timber construction was chosen with a design that is as demountable as possible. This sustainable approach not only contributes to sustainability, but also ensures lower energy costs. With this project, Biersteker, together with ADO, is literally and figuratively building a sustainable and future-proof future in Het Zuiderpark.
Back to historical ground
The permit application has now been submitted and as soon as it is approved, Biersteker will start construction this winter. The aim is to put the new training complex into use before the start of the next season. Work on the construction of the lawns and surrounding infrastructure is already in full swing. As soon as these are realized, ADO Den Haag will definitively return to historical ground; the place that served as home base for all facets of the club for more than eighty years.
The new complex will become a central meeting place for both the first men’s team and the boys’ youth teams. Naturally, ADO Den Haag will continue to look at the possibilities of bringing the women and girls back to the Zuiderpark, so that the entire ADO Den Haag family is united.
