ALL JUDO Masters Shiai Championship 2024 – Judo Mifune St. Pölten

The All Judo Championship took place in Kottingbrunn on November 2nd and 3rd. However, due to a low number of participants, the kata competition had to be canceled, so that the “Kata Brothers” Patrick and Daniel were unable to compete in their standard discipline this time. Instead, they took part in the Ne-Waza and Shiai competitions, each in the M1 class up to 60 kg.

In the Ne-Waza competition, the two brothers were the only participants and had to fight for 1st and 2nd place among themselves. In the first fight, Patrick was subjected to a choking technique and had to admit defeat. However, in the second meeting he dominated and was able to defeat Daniel in the Golden Score with a Waza-ari rating. Patrick also won the last encounter by defending a Waza-ari lead until the end of the fighting time. Patrick thus secured 1st place in the Ne-Waza, while Daniel took 2nd place.

In the Shiai competition, another fighter from Poland joined, so that the group consisted of three participants. In order to avoid possible collusion, Patrick and Daniel had to first compete against each other. In this fight, Patrick defeated Daniel with an ippon. In the second fight, Patrick met the Polish judoka, against whom he had to fight hard and finally admitted defeat in a holding technique. Daniel also couldn’t prevail in the third fight and was involved in a choking technique, which meant he lost the fight.

At the end of the competition day, the “Kata Brothers” were still able to enjoy impressive placings: Patrick took 1st place in Ne-Waza and 2nd place in Shiai, while Daniel achieved 2nd place in Ne-Waza and 3rd place in Shiai. An overall ranking could not be carried out due to the cancellation of the kata competition.
