BASKETBALL – A celebration with a special taste. Seeing this team in the colors of Ireland, Joe Biden took the opportunity to recall his origins.

During a speech in which he congratulated the entire team as well as all the people around them such as employees, family members or fans, Joe Biden expressed his joy at seeing them win. “My code name for the Secret Service is “Celtic”. For real. Because I’m Irish. Everyone behind me is Irish at heart. I feel particular pride in this trophy. This old Irish Celtic can only congratulate you”he declares from behind his desk.
And Joe Biden and all the fans of this team have something to be proud of. On June 17, 2024, after a decisive fifth game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Boston Celtics won the championship, making the Massachusetts team the most successful franchise in NBA history. With 18 titles, the Celtics take the record after remaining tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for 14 years.
Basketball players Jayson Tatum and Derrick White presented a personalized jersey to Joe Biden, flocked with his name and bearing the number 46 in reference to his position as 46th President of the United States. He also left with a ball which commemorates this new title of NBA champions. A great gift for that Celtics fan.
