The Veronese Samuel Aldegheri who debuted in Major League Baseball
“Sport Meetings” is a series of events that Crazy Sambonifacese is organizing with guests from the world of Veronese, Italian and international sport.
The first appointment is scheduled for Saturday 23 November at the “Barbarani” civic hall in via Marconi 5 in San Bonifacio starting at 5.30 pm. Guests of the evening Samuel Aldegheri, the baseball player from San Martino Buon Albergo who made his debut in Major League Baseball last summer as a pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels.
We remember that Samuel is the first baseball pitcher born and raised in Italy to play in MLB.
With him Paolo Castagnini, historical face of Veronese baseball, Venetian and Italian, who for years has been the common thread between our territory and the United States, as well as being a volunteer coach at the Kansas City Royals Urban Academy. Castagnini is also the first Italian coach to hold this position in an MLB franchise.
Obviously we will talk about baseball, but also about other topics regarding the USA and sport in general. Evening organized by Crazy Sambonifacese with the patronage of the Municipality of San Bonifacio and in collaboration with Coni Veneto Regional Committee.
