The Parisian coach takes stock after the 3-0 victory over Toulouse this Friday, at the Parc des Princes, during the 12th day of Ligue 1.
The victory against Toulouse : “The matches following the international breaks and before the C1 are always complicated (PSG will face Bayern on Tuesday, Editor’s note). It was like that but we were up to the task against a Toulouse team who always create problems for us and know how to play football.
Joao Neves scored before the break and… left back in the second half : “Neves first played in six, his usual position, then we wanted to use his recovery ability at the back. When a midfielder scores, we insist on it, but I am more satisfied with his second half, it’s a good match.
PSG more effective in L1 than in C1 : “They are different competitions. Our statistics in Ligue 1 are good in terms of efficiency and we are far from our level in C1, it is not logical, but in a short competition like the C1, with few matches, you have to be good in moments important. For what we create, the stats are exceptional. But in terms of efficiency, it’s far from our level, but it will rise. When ? I don’t know, I’m not psychic. (…) The Champions League is generally harder than the L1. Ligue 1 is about consistency. Not the C1. It’s a championship of moments. The team that performs best in March will go the furthest. They are different competitions. The results and performance of our team in C1 so far are not in line with what we deserve. We need to improve efficiency, that’s for sure. We have more resources to score more goals. We’ll just see if we can do it.”

But we were able to score 2-0 and 3-0. Happy or not, sometimes opponents score three out of three chances. We can improve. But if we see all the circumstances, we gave minutes to some, rest to others and the victory, the objectives were accomplished. Were we brilliant, no. But who is over 60 games and a season? Person.”
Milan Skriniar’s performance : “Milan was at his usual level, defensively and in terms of recovery, he is always ready to play, very professional. He played a lot last season, less this year, he is a top professional.
