MAZATLAN._ The team of the Quintero Castañeda League added his second victory in the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament-Venados 2024by defeating by shutout of 10-0 to Mazatlán League.
The duel, played in the Minor Children’s category, represented Liga Quintero to hold on to the leadership of its category and take an important step to the next round.
Tadeo Espetuñal took the victory with relief from Rafael Castañeda. The defeat was for Ángel Morales.
Liga Quintero took a 1-0 lead with a RBI hit by Ignacio Virgen in the first episode.
In the second they increased the score with a cluster of 4 runs. Rafael Castañeda drove in 2 with a single and a double by Abdiel Mariscal brought another 2 to the plate.
And in the third chapter, Liga Quintero achieved a cluster of 5 scores to make it 4-0.
Aarón Cárdenas drove in two with a single, Diego Aguayo, one with a single, while Mateo Aguayo drove in two with a double.
OTHER RESULTS
In the Minor Children’s category duel, Academia Dinastía Ríos-Mazatlán defeated Mazatlán R4 by a tight score of 8-7.
Armando Manzano stood out on offense for Academia by going 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs. His teammate Yadier Carrillo went 2-for-3. For Mazatlán R4, Johan Ornelas hit a home run.
Cachorros-Aguascalientes beat Mazatlán R4 5-2, in the Minor Children’s category.
Ópera Rayco took the victory on the shooting hill, and Iker Hubbard lost.
In the School category, Culiacán beat Liga Quintero Castañeda 23-13.
In the Children’s category, Tomateros-Chihuahua defeated Muralla-Mazatlán 9-3 with shots from the winner Diego Ontiveros
