The student dissertation prize was awarded, for the year 2024, to three young academics, on the occasion of the FFBaD conference “The societal impact of badminton: legacy of the Olympiad”.
This competition allows students from French universities and schools to apply and be rewarded for their work on badminton. After deliberation by the jury, made up of professionals, researchers and elected officials, the best work from Bac +4, Bac +5 and thesis are awarded prizes.
This year, three Master 2 theses particularly caught the attention of the jury:
– 1st prize: Matisse LEMESLE – STAPS Little
Work on anticipation in badminton, namely to what extent motor resonance makes it possible to predict the consequences of the opponent’s action. A current subject but treated here with a new approach. A dense and complete theoretical framework and experiments which allow us to identify new perspectives.
– 2nd prize: Lucien CROMBEZ – STAPS Little
Continuing his work from last year, he offers us an analysis of the effects of winning a match on student engagement in badminton. Original work and a lot of rigor in the methodology.
– 3rd prize: Hippolyte HUET – IFMK of Rennes
This thesis studies the recommendations for the management of the shoulder in massage physiotherapy. A difficult subject to deal with but a very well mastered thesis. A beautiful literary magazine.
