Golden State, Boston and Houston rule the roost

The big NBA teams did not stumble last night to maintain their position in the standings.

The Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, first and third in the Western Conference, as well as the Boston Celtics, second in the Eastern Conference, all won Friday night in the NBA, and maintain their position in the standings.

The Warriors won with a short header on the floor of New Orleans (112-108). The Pelicans led by one point halfway through, and remained threatening until the end, but the visiting team, in which Andrew Wiggins stood out by scoring 30 points with a good success percentage of -64, 2% at two points, 60% at 3), had the last word.

The Boston Celtics, the defending champions, the day after their reception by President Joe Biden at the White House, remained in Washington where they beat the Wizards (108-96), led by Jaylen Brown, author of 31 points despite a lot of waste (11 out of 27 only on shots, including 3 out of 13 at three points). The Celtics only led by three points at the end of the third quarter, before widening the gap in the last.

The Houston Rockets, at home, beat the Portland Trail Blazers more comfortably (116-88), winning every quarter. The teammates of Dillon Brooks, his team’s top scorer with 28 points, had already taken cover at halftime, where they were already 20 lengths ahead. In Chicago, the Bulls collective, with three players with 20 points or more, made the difference against Atlanta, defeated without question 136 to 122.

In this Eastern Conference, three teams, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta, have the same win-loss ratio (7, v, 10 d), and are just behind Milwaukee, which is sixth, in the standings.

The Bucks beat the Indiana Pacers (129-117), with a brilliant Giannis Antetokounpo, author of a new triple double with 37 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, and 66.7% shooting success (14 out of 21 ).
