The Lebrun brothers won in the semi-final of the WTT Finals against the other French pair composed of Florian Bourrassaud and Esteban Dorr. A victory in the final would allow them to close the year as the world’s top pair.
For the Lebrun brothers, the final meeting of the season will be a final in Japan. A final which concludes a busy year for the two French table tennis players. In the semi-final which pitted the siblings against the Bourrassaud and Dorr pair, the two brothers had to battle at the start of the match in order to secure a place in the final. The Lebrun notably saved two set points against their training partners in Montpellier before rolling out. Victory three sets to zero for the Lebrun brothers.
“It’s not easy to play against teammates and friends, we’re just very happy to be in the final“, declares Alexis Lebrun. The two brothers will finish the season at number one in the world rankings in doubles in the event of victory against the Japanese pair in the final.
