CATFISH. There’s a lot going on at the LZ Multikraft. 16-year-old Anna Bachler is not only in the women’s national squad, but is now also a 1st Dan sharp belt holder. Michael Winkler becomes the junior national coach and the Bundesliga team fights for the title.
Having passed the test, Bachler is now one of the youngest black belt holders. The 16-year-old made it into the national squad.
Michael Winkler is promoted to Judo Austria. The sports scientist has previously worked as an athletic trainer and youth coordinator. Now the 29-year-old will be the junior national coach. Winkler will continue to work as a young speaker and trainer at the judo performance center in Budokan Wels. He also repeatedly goes to the mat himself.
Final Four in Gmunden
Where the Gmunden Swans distribute baskets, the Wels Judo men want to put their opponents on the cross on Saturday, November 30th. The Welser will face Sanjindo Bischofshofen at 3 p.m. If they win, the judo multis will be in the final (8:15 p.m.). Manfred Dullinger will take his place in the Wels coaching chair for the last time in Gmunden. “We want to give him the title as a farewell,” says chairman Patrick Haminger, looking forward to many Wels fans and exciting fights.
