The Public Force received an alert last night about the theft of a truck, its container and the deprivation of liberty of the driver who was taken against his will.
The events occurred in the canton of Orotina, in the province of Alajuela.
Several units moved quickly to try to locate the robbery suspects, and managed to locate the vehicle in the old materials pit.
At the scene they also found the driver who was the victim of the robbery tied and gagged. He was released by the officers, who continued the search for the antisocials.
In a search of the surrounding area, they arrested three suspects of participating in this incident. Their surnames are Solera, Herrera and Sánchez.
In addition, they located the container with the merchandise, part of which had already been unloaded. As it turned out, the merchandise was a significant number of pairs of tennis shoes.
The case was taken over by officials of the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) who keep the case under investigation.
