This November 22, the provincial press organ newspaper Girón celebrates its birthday. Among its many achievements, Section 1433, which is about to turn 50, stands out.
The section for attention to concerns and proposals of the population was born as an expression of immediacy to the interests of the people.
Fernando Pérez Duarte, journalist who wrote the section, explains to TV Yumurí that the section had a brilliant background. The Rinconcito, El Guerrillero and Cal y Arena sections, prior to Apartado 133, the previous issue of the current portal section, inaugurated the correspondence of readers in search of answers to their problems. The two previous sections were written by Alberto Cárdenas and the third by the Matanzas Journalism teacher Celestino García.
50 years after its creation, Section 1433 continues to provide answers to its readers.
Through letters through the post office box, email or left in the editorial office of the press organ, always with the necessary sender.
Each letter is attended to until responses are obtained from the corresponding organizations. As a way to remind the slower organisms, the mailbox is emptied from time to time to make the tardiness public.
The security of obtaining a sometimes elusive answer through other means gives its importance to a section that turns 50 years old.
Awarded in multiple events for the quality of its permanent link with the concerns of the population, Apartado 1433 reserves energy and commitment to undertake another 50 years of delivery and service.(LLOLL)
