With 34 points and 13 rebounds, Nikola Jokic put on a show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles in the Denver Nuggets’ 127-102 victory over the Lakers. For the Colorado team it is the 13th success in the last 14 matches against the yellow and purple, who had also won six of the last seven games of the season while the Nuggets had lost three of the four previous starts. On the court, Denver also had 24 points from Porter and 14 each from Murray and Westbrook, while the Lakers’ top scorer was Reaves with 19 points while LeBron James added 18 and Davis 14.
In Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points and Lillard added 31 to lead the Bucks to a win over the Charlotte Hornets 125-119. Despite a career-best 50-point performance from LaMelo Ball, the Bucks recorded their fourth straight win, with a season record of eight wins and nine losses.
Victor Wembanyama with 25 points, seven rebounds and nine assists led San Antonio in a 104-94 victory over the Western Conference leaders, Golden State Warriors, who shot a modest 36.9% from the field. The Finnish Markkanen scored 34 points for the Utah Jazz in the away victory against New York (121-106), interrupting the Knicks’ streak of four consecutive victories and one of four consecutive knockouts of Utah. In Chicago, Scotty Pippen Jr., son of Bulls legend Scottie, scored 30 points and added 10 assists to help the Memphis Grizzlies win 142-131 over the hosts.
