Despite an encouraging start to the match, the Brunehautoises ended up losing with a 70-point difference.
46-116, the score is heavy at the end of the meeting between Brunehaut and Boom in the Top Women Division. But if this result may reflect the difference in level between the two teams, it does not quite reflect the whole aspect of the meeting. Indeed, during two quarters, Christophe Rohart’s players showed a very good face by containing the attacks of the Boom Phantoms. At halftime, the score was only 24-44.
Unfortunately, the Brunehautoises were unable to keep up the pace throughout the match and Boom ended up taking the lead thanks to a 10-40 in the last quarter. With this result, BB Brunehaut remains stuck in 11th place in the championship with 9 points, while Boom climbs back to fourth place.
On November 30 at 6:15 p.m., Brunehaut will play her last match of the first leg of the Top Women Division in Laarne. In the event of victory, the Brunehautoises could even join their opponent in the rankings and get closer to the qualifying places for the playoffs.
