IVREA – Flurry of checks by the police: three people reported and six reported to the prefecture

IVREA – Flurry of checks, especially in the evening and night hours, by the military personnel in Ivrea. This is a “high impact” activity, carried out again this weekend by the carabinieri of the Ivrea mobile radio section with colleagues from Valchiusa, Strambino and San Giorgio Canavese, to combat the phenomenon of “Saturday evening massacres” and drug dealing of narcotic substances.

In particular, during the night of November 23rd, three people, all Italian, were reported. A 38-year-old was caught driving drunk. Another 38-year-old man, after a car accident, refused to undergo an alcohol test and, during a search of the vehicle, was found in possession of a stun gun without a red cap. He will have to answer for refusal of the investigation of the state of intoxication and possession of weapons. Same fate for a 46-year-old in whose car the police found a baseball bat. He was also reported to the Turin prefecture for possessing several grams of hashish.

During the service, another 4.3 grams of hashish, six homemade cigarettes containing hashish and one homemade cigarette containing marijuana were seized. Overall, 90 people were checked, 56 of which with breathalyzers and 56 cars and six people between the ages of 52 and 20 were reported to the Prefecture of Turin. On one occasion, the soldiers of the Ivrea mobile radio section, in order to immobilize the visibly drunk perpetrator of a road accident, resorted to using stinging spray.
