This weekend the Spanish Judo Cup was held in Getafe in the cadet category of the community of Madrid, and as it could not be otherwise, the Caja Rural-Judo team traveled there, formed this time only by members from the Judo Morales club The competitors gave their all on the tatami and competed like what they are… warriors.
Andrés Rodríguez -66kg, started with victory and lost in the second round and did not enter the repechage, María Bahamonde -52kg competed very well, won her first two rounds, fell in third and the bad situation did not allow a repechage, she did very well
Juan Meana -60kg, bad luck in everything, he had to open the championship, he had to do a previous fight, the fatal draw, he lost in the second round with one of the finalists, he had a repechage and lost with the one who remained bronze and still made a very, very good competition, Juan still has one more year left in the cadet category Elena Bahamonde -44kg, almost perfect, she got a wonderful and hard-worked bronze, Elena has won the last five Spanish Cups, standing on the podium with a total of three bronzes, a silver and a gold, that is within the reach of very few being second in the national ranking.
With these results, Moralino Judo continues to prove to be among the best on the national scene and we begin to prepare the next event, which will be in Pamplona in two weeks.
