In the building the Thanks to Verona they disputed Italian team Kata championships by regions which were won by the host Veneto, which preceded Emilia-Romagna and, in third place, Tuscany.

The report of Cesare Amorosi: Weekend dedicated to kata in Verona. The annual National Kata Stage took place on Saturday 23 November, valid as an update for referees and federal teachers. The following day, Sunday 24 November, the last competition of the year took place: the Italian Kata Team Championship by region.
This year the main theme of the national stage identified by the Commission was kata in the youth group (under 18). In the first part of the day, an in-depth study was carried out on specific athletic preparation for kata, an intervention curated by Dr. Sara Baldin, in continuity with what was carried out the previous year in which the theme of preparation was introduced for the first time athletics for kata. Also in the morning, Dr. Mario Strazzeri spoke and provided elements on the topic of nutrition with specific insights for kata athletes. In the afternoon the technical part took place in which referees and teachers were able to discuss the technical and refereeing elements of the youth group’s kata.
Lo national internship it was enriched by the presence of President Domenico Falcone who opened the proceedings by thanking the commission for the work carried out and congratulating the athletes on the results achieved in the recent World Championships in Las Vegas. On this occasion, President Falcone, together with the President of the Commission Giovanni Strazzeri, presented the black belt to the athlete Michael Camarri for the victory obtained in the katame no kata under 23 at the recent world championship.
As regards the competition, the title of regional team champion of Italy 2024 goes to Veneto (41 points) which comes in first place, followed a handful of points away from Emilia Romagna (38 points), second place, and from Tuscany which won third place (35 points). The competition saw 154 athletes compete (77 couples) representing 10 regions and the ranking was definitively outlined only at the end of the kime no kata, the last kata in the competition.
The National Kata Commission with the president Giovanni Strazzeri, the deputy president Monica Piredda and the members of the commission Giousé Erissini and Cesare Amorosi are extremely satisfied with the success of the double appointment and thank the ASD Kodokan Libertas Verona for the excellent organization. The National Kata Commission has therefore concluded the last commitment of the year positively and is therefore now able to draw conclusions regarding the results obtained in this four-year period in which all the kata activity, which started from the particular post-pandemic situation, has seen a continuous growth year after year.
