Victim of the serious road accident which occurred on the A6b motorway this Thursday evening near Chevilly-Larue (Val-de-Marne), David Heran, police officer and Sambo world champion in 2016, succumbed to his injuries this Sunday . Domiciling in Essonne, David Heran was a Parisian police officer known for his kindness and loyalty, but also for his very high level practice of Sambo, a combat sport combining judo, boxing and wrestling, a discipline which passionate. He has been teaching this sport at the Sambo Paris Université Club for several years with passion and rigor. David was also a consultant for Eurosport, RMC Sport Combat or even The L’Équipe channel.
Joining the national police in 2003, David was a police major assigned to the Departmental Directorate for Population Protection (DDPP), he had previously been a permanent delegate of the Alliance Police Nationale union in Paris for several years and had taken care of various units, notably the Security and Intervention Company (CSI), the Ile-de-France Network Brigade (BRF), as well as several services of the Directorate of Public Order and Traffic (DOPC).
The union organization published a message paying tribute to him this Sunday afternoon: “David was a seasoned police officer, a practitioner and enthusiast of combat sports as well as a dedicated delegate who worked for many years in the Paris regional office. The serious accident occurred around 11:20 p.m., in particularly difficult weather conditions, after heavy snowfall in Île-de-France. The region was then placed on orange snow-ice alert.
