Santiago de Cali, November 24, 2024. Governor Dilian Francisca Toro accompanied the Valle Oro Puro athletes in the Judo and Swimming finals, who are participating in Pereira in the First National Youth and Parayouth Games in Pereira, to encourage them and as proof of the departmental government support for sport.
“Sport inspires us to have peace and coexistence, sport transforms lives, families, societies. So, that is why we continue to support sports in Valle del Cauca. Since 2016, we have fully supported athletes, not only high-performance athletes, but also those of the generational change and this is precisely what we are seeing today; “It is the beginning of being able to see other athletes and we did that with the sports programs and projects and sports seedbeds,” said the Valle president after seeing Johann Díaz, an athlete in the Judo discipline, win gold.
“I thank my entire training group, my family and especially the Valley, here we are champions,” Johann Díaz, winner in judo, expressed with emotion, reaffirming his commitment to the department.
In addition, Joseph Paz has won three medals in swimming. «I want to thank the Government of the Valley for all the support they have given us, the teachers, coaches who have helped me throughout this training, in a very hard process and thank you very much to all of us, we are adding more medals for the Valley ”.
“The truth is that this is a dream of the work we did and bringing that victory in Judo to the Valley, we hope that all Vallecaucans will support us,” said Luz Adela Álvarez, president of the Vallecaucana Judo League.
